![]() Lows dominate the frequency curve, but there were still some nice sounding mids and highs to digest. Powerful, bass-heavy sonics came out of the Elite 8 Active’s 6mm dynamic drivers. The Elite 8 Active serve exceptionally well for fitness and casual listening, and Jabra’s warm sound signature will jumpstart workouts the moment you press play. Upgraded with military-standard materials for unbreakable protection, and some of the longest battery life available, the Elite 8 Active are easily among one of the most worthwhile options for best Apple AirPods alternatives. On the flip side, Apple’s flagship buds have the more accurate Eartip Fit Test, plus they come with other proprietary technologies like Adaptive EQ that automatically adjust frequencies in real-time when listening to music. We can also confirm that the Fit Pro’s wingtip design gives it better in-ear support than the AirPods Pro. Spatial Audio with head tracking has also made its way onto Beats’ sporty buds, bringing immersive 3D sound to a Beats product for the first time. Active noise cancellation and Transparency mode perform exceptionally well on these two models. For instance, both Pro versions boast the H1 chip, which grants access to a plethora of iOS-related features like automatic switching, audio sharing, “Hey Siri” voice activation, and FindMy to locate misplaced buds. I will be donating to/buying from the KDE dev group. The Beats Fit Pro surpass the standard AirPods in numerous ways, and they're not too far off from the AirPods Pro when comparing performance. Thanks so much for freeing me from the pushbullet wallet bleed (I wouldn't even consider paying 40$ a year, every year, forever for something of this nature - it's really abusive pricing - I really can't believe pushbullet chose a wallet bleed/revenue stream parasitic business model for an app of that nature). ![]() Worked pretty flawlessly overall - just wasn't clear at first how to get the sms/file/image share bit going but once that is sorted it's perfect. Once contacts are synced it is easy to manage/reply by rt clicking tray - selecting device and then selecting action. Right click on the icon in the tray and you can select the device and then trigger the sync of the contacts. Then tried looking in the taskbar tray and found it. Couldn't figure out how to send the sms and do some of the things I wanted to do through the win10 client. Once they saw each other I tended to the permissions on the phone for the phone client. The phone client found the laptop client after it was installed on the phone as the 2nd device. The once or twice a week features are just as succulent I assure you. *Fantastic desktop locking anytime I walk away from the computer with my phone, to the point Microsoft should be on suicide watch for being so poor where KDE Connect is so polished. *Truly solid remote input from device to device, one's keyboard and mouse/touchpad are just as easily used on the other. If I'm playing music on the computer, there will be a notification on the phone with play/pause/skip and volume, and if I'm playing something from the phone it comes through the computer speakers, complete with muting of either source when calls come in. ![]() *Quick and painless mirroring of notifications and SMS from phone to desktop, including SMS replies *Shared media playback and control. Let's take a quick inventory of things it does for me daily. Mello's Experience You won't believe how good Connect is until you use it yourself, and even then you'll dwell from time to time on how it came to pass that the best piece of software that KDE produced in a quarter century ended up being a mobile phone connectivity app.
